The events taking place in Gaza has the community deeply shocked, divided and even confused. With serious allegations of genocide, man-made famines and war crimes, we must act now and stop an event such as this from continuing on our times.
The Balfour declaration of 1917 not only was in favour of establishing a Jewish home, it made a promise to the non-jewish communities in Palestine that had existed for thousands of years. As alluded to by UK Foreign Minister David Lammey, a promise that has not been met. The declaration states that,

"It being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."
The loss of hope leads to extremism. In this case the root cause is a 75 year occupation of the Palestinian people who have been resilient and resisted displacement and the annexation of their land.
There are 5.5 Million Palestinians between Westbank and Gaza; suffering the oppression of occupation. There are a further 2 million within Israel, who live under an apartheid regime. This campaign is about calling for urgent action and focus on the root causes, instead of being distracted by symptoms and false narratives with an intention to confuse.
In January 2024, the Internation Court of Justice (ICJ) interim ruling on the South African case against Israel for genocide stated that it was plausible that the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people were being threatened and that all signatory nations must do whatever possible to prevent it.

In November 2024 the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamine Netanyahu and Minister of Defence Yoav Gallant for the alleged war crime of starvation as a method of warfare, and crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts during the Gaza war.
In December 2024 Amnesty International reported that Israel has committed and is continuing to commit genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip. This was followed by Human Rights Watch reporting that "Israeli authorities are responsible for the crime against humanity of extermination and for acts of genocide.". In July2025, two Israel NGO's BeT'selem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel reported that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza.
The alarming impunity by which Israel has committed these atrocities could threaten the international rules-based order which was founded due to the events of WW2 with an aim of "never again". It is ironic that Israel is now the perpetrator.
Despite the alarming facts been presented, governments have taken positions based on alliances and false narrative, rather than unbiased judgement and integrity. They speak lame words, but have not taken strong action commensurate to the crimes.
Genocide is the most egregious crime defined in law, and it is absolute. There is no condition under which it is acceptable.
This campaign attempts to give clarity to the key issues, so the community and its leaders are clear eyed, and work toward resolving the root causes without being distracted by symptoms and narratives aimed to confuse. It is an opportunity to confront the shear hypocrisy of the Australian government and urge it to take real measures.
The existential threat to Israel has never been Hamas, it has been the global exposure of its atrocities to the people of Palestine. The Pandora's box is open, the tipping point reached, There is no going back. Not only have the Israeli atrocities been exposed, but also the damage Israeli lobbies have done to western democracies is blatantly evident.

We ask the Australian government for steely eyed focus on the substantial issues, genocide, famine and 75 year oppression, rather than the transient symptoms and false narratives such as rising anti-Semitism, and university protests. Take real measures such as,
With many human rights issues, such as apartheid in South Africa; the Australian public have led the way. The harbour bridge march of between 100 - 200k people was such a resounding statement to the entire world.
Not in our name, not in our time. We, the people much persist with the hope that the government will uphold our call!
